Krunoslav Katić, member of the Institute for Security Policies has been presented with the World Bank “Above and Beyond” award by Mrs. Anna Bjerde, World Bank Regional Vice President, Europe and Central Asia.

The award was presented to Mr. Katić in his role of being the Disaster Risk Management Specialist “for being an unfailing source of energy driving the Rapid Damage Needs Assessment (RDNA) process forward and a strong liaison with the client both on the RDNA and ERL.”

It is noted in the explanation of the award that “Mr. Katić has worked as the rapid damage and needs assessment coordinator on the assessments following both the March and December 2020 earthquakes in Croatia. He is an experienced post-disaster needs assessment specialist boasting incredible positive energy and team spirit which are crucial for leading PDNA type processes. Following the December earthquake, his leadership, persistence and good spirit kept the 200-strong team of various actors together in times of post-disaster distress and sensitivity, finally resulting in a successful assessment. Mr. Katić also goes out of his way to build and foster a trustful cooperation with the client on the Earthquake Recovery and Public Health Preparedness project.”
